This show is only going to help fuel the wing-nut’s arguments that cisgender men will pose as either transgender or cisgender women in order to gain access to women only space.

I disagree – no one is going to take this thing seriously – mainly because almost no one will even watch it or be aware it’s on.

Hmm, I wasn’t under the impression that it is easier to get a job when you present as the sex you weren’t born as. Maybe I’m living in the the wrong state and applying for the wrong positions.

It’s more a failure of Television writer’s imaginations than any conspiracy against us. These shows are always predictable and comfortable for the assumed heteronorm. It’s “Bosom Buddies”; “It’s HARRRRD to be a girl”, “I can’t like sports”, “Uh oh, this guy’s coming on to me!” blah blah Bleaaaah. Candice Cayne on Dirty Sexy Money was great because she was real, and the relationship between her and Billy Baldwin was real…America is just lame.

I don’t think it’s a conspiracy, I think at its core it’s misogyny (which both transphobia and homophobia both spring from) that’s acceptable in this society. #fem2 #transgender

I’m going to go with “no need to worry” because it looks so astonishingly crass and unfunny that it will make “The Cavemen” look like a success in contrast. In a way, the complete failure of something like this kind of works for us in that it kind of “kills the joke” for a while. IMO of course.
