Can you clarify your point on trans(s)exual? I've been under the impression that the removal of the second 's' was an attempt to take the word back from the medical community. In fact, googling transexual led me to an urban dictionary entry that stated just that.

I generally just use 'trans' to skip having to make the transexual, transsexual, transgender distinctions, but when I do want to use the term trans(s)exual, I tend to do so with only one 's' for the reason above. Is there some reason why I shouldn't be doing that?
